“Just swim” – the guests of the San Alfonso del Mar Resort in Chile repeat like a mantra. The pool that is in it is entered in the Guinness Book of Records. It’s hard to swim it in. Believe us.
The pool was created by Crystal Lagoons (a company founded by a Chilean businessman known for similar investments around the world). It is the first “artificial lagoon” in history. It was entered in the Guinness Book of Records.
The pool is located along the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean. It is over 1000 m long and covers an area of 8 ha. That’s more than 10 football pitches. The reservoir holds 250 million liters of filtered ocean water and has a wonderful, turquoise color.
Guests are offered a variety of water sports, including kayaking, diving and fitness classes. You can even sail a boat along the pool.
